Hi! Great to see you here. I’m a recovering over-giver and new mother in my 30s with rubbish boundaries and an inability to prioritise myself. In this series of essays and blog posts I am hoping to uncover what is really important to me – non-negotiable – so that I can take care of myself better and live a life I am proud of. Here’s the kicker, I’m also a doctor who specialises in preventative medicine! These lessons I’m learning for myself are things that I tout at work on a daily basis. `This website is a personal and professional labour of love.
I’m hoping to put my mind, body and spirit where my mouth is and live the principles I believe in. I believe in evidence-based medicine but I also believe in experiential learning and culture, history and tradition. I know I’m going to run into trouble for my writing and opinions but I think these difficult grey areas are the most interesting parts of life. They are areas for GROWTH. By examining these closely, maybe we can find ways to work around them and achieve never-before-seen levels of health and happiness. Here’s hoping – to living our best lives in 2026 and beyond!
“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.”
